Supreme Court Proposes Opening Bar Exam to Non-ABA Graduates

The Supreme Court of Ohio has proposed rule amendments allowing graduates of non-ABA-accredited law schools to take the state bar exam while simultaneously launching plans to establish its own state-run accreditation system. Public comments on these amendments are being accepted through July 10, 2026, and can be submitted in writing to Zach Holscher at the Supreme Court of Ohio or via email at RuleAmendments@sc.ohio.gov
