Cuyahoga County’s New "Deed Lock"

Cuyahoga County is developing a "Deed Lock" program, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to use a two-factor authentication system to prevent scammers from filing forged property transfers. By requiring in-person identity verification and sending real-time text alerts for any filing attempts, the program aims to protect homeowners and prospective buyers from the rising threat of title fraud. Women Dominate List of Top-Cited Legal Scholars

 A new study by George Mason University law librarians reveals that women now represent seven of the top ten most-cited U.S. legal scholars, more than doubling their previous presence in the top tier. While the total number of women in the top 100 slightly decreased to 35, University of Virginia professor Danielle Keats Citron maintained her position as the most-cited scholar for the second consecutive year. Supreme Court Launches AI Resource Library

The  Ohio Supreme Court  has launched an  Artificial Intelligence Resource Library  to help the legal community navigate the growing impact of AI on court proceedings and opinion writing. This centralized hub provides access to ethics guidelines, state court practices, scholarly articles, and educational courses designed for judicial officers and attorneys.
